Seiko watches for men

Seiko makes watches for every budget and wrist size. Pick a style first, then check case size and lug width against your wrist.

    Seiko 5 Sports

The 2019 Seiko 5 Sports range is the SKX007's spiritual successor. It keeps a similar case shape but moves to the 4R36 movement, which hacks and hand-winds, and it is rated to 100 m rather than 200 m. It comes in a huge number of colours and collaborations, which makes it one of the easiest entry points into mechanical watches.

  2. Seiko · Field

    Seiko Alpinist

The Alpinist is Seiko's mountain-sports watch. It started as a rugged field watch for climbers in Japan in the 1960s. The current version pairs a mid-size steel case with a rotating inner compass ring, worked by a second crown, and a slim leaf-handed dial. Most people buy it as a do-everything watch that's more interesting than a plain field watch.

  3. Seiko · Diver

    Seiko Turtle

The Turtle gets its nickname from its wide, cushion-shaped case. That case dates back to Seiko's 1970s 6309 divers, and the re-issue family brought it back. It wears smaller than its diameter suggests, because the lugs are short and tucked in. Expect bold lume, a unidirectional bezel and a 4R36 automatic with hacking and hand-winding.

  4. Seiko · Dress

    Seiko Presage

Presage is Seiko's collection of mechanical dress watches. It is best known for textured 'Cocktail Time' dials and, higher up the range, for enamel and urushi lacquer. The specs shown here are for the popular Cocktail Time SRPB43. Other Presage models differ.

  5. Seiko · Dress

    King Seiko

King Seiko was the 1960s rival of Grand Seiko within Seiko itself. Seiko revived it in 2022 with crisply faceted cases inspired by the 1965 KSK. It sits between Presage and Grand Seiko in price and finishing.

  6. Seiko · Diver

    Seiko SKX007

The SKX007 is the affordable ISO-style dive watch that a generation of enthusiasts started on. It runs on the 7S26 calibre, which neither hacks nor hand-winds, and it is often modded. It is no longer made, so buyers now shop pre-owned. The obvious alternatives are the Seiko 5 Sports models that took its place.
